ITALIAN SITUATION PARCEL DISPATCH HELD UP (P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. On account of the military situation surrounding Italy, the Prisoners' of War Inquiry Office cabled regarding the next-of-kin quarterly parcels for prisoners located there. The British Red Cross has advised that they are temporarily holding up the dispatch of further cigarettes and other parcels to Italy in the hope of the position becoming much clearer. Advice lias been received from the International Red Cross at Geneva that an acknowledgment has been received, signed by the British prisoners' representative at Stalag VIII.B acknowledging receipt of a consignment of 3600 razor blades from Geneva, which were part of the regular dispatch of blades arranged and paid for from the Sick and Wounded National Patriotic Funds.
