Italian "Sixth" Wiped Out In Sicily FOUK MORE ON OTHER FRONTS Rec. 11 a.m. LONDON, Aug. 19. Reuters correspondent in Algiers says the Italians in Sicily lost another complete army, which was the fifth lost in the war. The Italian Sixth Army has ceased to exist, although probably its headquarters staff escaped to the mainland. The Sixth Army was composed of two corps comprisins nine divisions. The five armies lost oy the Italians were the First, Fifth and Tenth Armies, destroyed in the African fighting, the Eighth Army, disintegrated in Russia, and the Sixth 'Army, lost in Sicily.
