SUMMONSES ISSUED

AIRCRAFT WORK DIRECTORS Rec. 11 a.m. LONDON, Aug. 19. The Evening News states that summonses have been issued under the Prevention of Corruption Act against H. L. Armstrong, DirectorGeneral of Aircraft Production from July, 1942, to February, 1943. Henry Bloss, a deputy-Director of Aircraft Production, and Rex Hoyes, who is director of several companies and managing-director of Cunliffe Owen Aircraft, Limited. Armstrong, who is a former chairman of a big Sheffield steel making firm, said: "There are complete answers to the charges."
