U.S. Bombers Blast Jap. Troops And Supplies HONGKONG DEVASTATION Rec. noon. CHUNGKING, Aug. 19. American bombers blasted Japanese troops and supplies at Hanoi and. fuel dumps in the Burma Road town of Mangshih, in Yunnan Province, states a communique issued from the headquarters of LieutenantGeneral Stilwell, commander of the United States forces in the Far East. Travellers reaching Kwangtung Province from Hongkong told the correspondent of the Central News that the American raids on July 29 and 31 damaged military and naval dockyards and waterfront installations and killed hundreds of people in the shipyards and factories. The Japanese police headquarters were also hit a large number of military officers and men gathered inside for a conference being killed.
