KING'S BIRTHDAY
POSTAL, ARRANGEMENTS The King's Birthday, Monday, June 7, will be observed as a close holiday by the Post and Telegraph Department. Mails for dispatch before 8 a.m. will close at 12.15 a.m., and those after S a.m. at the latter hour. Mails for southern offices, however, for dispatch by the Limited express will close at the Chief Post Office, Auckland at 4 p.m. Late fee mails will close at the Chief Post Office at 6 p.m., and the railway station at 7 p.m. The inland air mails will close at the usual time. A clearance of post offices and all street boxes will be made on the Sunday night. There will be delivery by postmen. The telegraph office will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
