HUNTLY DISPUTE
NO SETTLEMENT YET There has been change in the position at the Mac Donald mine, where about 100 miners have adopted a "go-slow" policy since Monday in sympathy with seven surfacemen, who" protested against the management not giving them a bonus, when other surfacemen were receiving bonuses.
It is estimated that the loss in production is about 300 tons of coal a day.
Delegates from the Northern Miners' Union, the president, Mr. H. Hall, the secretary, Mr. T. Hall and Mr. J. Devlin, have gone to Wellington to attend a conference.
