DISMISSAL PROM SERVICE
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Monday. The sentence of a general courtmartial held in Christchurch recently for "the trialj of Wing-Commander Johri.SThomas: - Brown, an officer attached to"-the RoyaLNew-'Zealand Air Force, has now been promulgated: The. sentence, which has been duly: confirmed, is that Wing-Com-mander Brown be dismissed from His Majesty's service. - Brown was charged with conduct to the prejudice of. good order and Air: Force .discipline in that he, being an engineer- officer at a certain air force station, did without proper permission, between February, 1940, and May, 1942, receive from the New Zealand Grinding, and Gear Company, Limited, 'its agents or employees, in respect of contracts made between the company and His Majesty the King for the manufacturing or processing of aircraft material arid other, engineering work, sumslbf'.money; for his own use, contrary to -the- provisions of King's Regulation's arid Air Council instructions'. rßrown admitted at the trial that he had received sums of money.
