SERVICE WEDDING
LOVELL—SILK IVORY EMBOSSED SATIN WORN At St. Andrew's Church, Symonds Street, the marriage took place on Saturday afternoon of Miss Jean Betty Silk, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Silk, of Remuera, to Staff-Sergeant Harold Stanley (Tim) Lovell, only son of Mrs. E.B. Lovell, of Palmerston North, and the late Mr. A. R. Lovell. The Rev. David Pryor officiated. , The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of ivory embossed satin, period style. ine bodice had a heart-shaped neckline and long sleeves and the skirt finished in a long train. The embroidered tulle veil was caught at the head with a spray of begonias and a •bouquet of cream bouvardia ana begonias was carried. Attending as bridesmaids were Miss Nola Grace and Miss Rutn Nicolas, who wore frocks of powder blue chiffon in a draped style. On their heads were sprays of red roses, and they carried roses and begonias in the same tone. The best man was Staff-Sergeant Len Barnes and the groomsman was Private Patrick Fraser. After the ceremony a reception was held at George Court's tearooms, where Mrs. Silk received her guests wearing a mulberry ensemble with hat to tone.-Mrs.' Lovell wore dusky pink and mulberry.
