BRIGHT VAUDEVILLE
AT HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE Light popular songs and a number of old favourites, interspersed with bright comedy sketches, made up a varied programme presented by Opliir Rees' Radiant Revue, to packed houses at His Majesty's Theatre, on Saturday. Among the vocal artists was a New Zealander, Miss Kathleen Ferris, whose fine range and quality of soprano voice added a charm to several evergreen favourities. Other well known vocalists were air. Ophir Rees, Miss Adele Taylor and Miss Sylvia Poynter. Humorous interludes and bright' back-chat were provided by the leading comedian, Mr. Jack Riley, while a ballet created a typical background to many of the numbers. Amongst items which appealed most to the audience were a display of feats of strength by the Ajax Trio, an exhibition of trapeze acrobatics by Miss Dolores Baker, tight-rope walking by Florette, and a bracket of yodelling numbers by Rakanui. The revue will continue for a" brief season only.
