APPLICATION FAILS
TAXI LICENSE SOUGHT "I don't suppose I have much chance, in view of your previous decision, but I am a returned soldier suffering a war disability, and am not able to carry on in my own trade as an electrician;" said F. G. Costin, in applying for a public taxi driver's license at the meeting of the Metropolitan Licensing Authority to-day. The applicant said he had been driving a car for 15 years. Mr. F. I. Drumm, representing the Atta Taxi Company, said he opposed the granting of the license on the same grounds as he had raised at a previous meeting, when similar applications were made. The application was dismissed.
