ESTIMATED GRAIN YIELD

LARGE INCREASE IN WHEAT CROP (P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. The estimated average yields an acre of wheat, oats and barley are published in last night's Gazette. The average for the Dominion, with last season s actual averages in parentheses, are as follows, in bushels: Wheat, 37 (33.61); oats, 49 (48.66); barley, 39 (35.99). In accordance with the above-' estimates the total yield of wheat should be . approximately 10,500,000 bushels, compared with 8,671,244 last season. If a similar *?£?' portion of the oat crop is threshed this season as last the yield should be approximately 2,900,000 bushels, compared with 3,444,812 last season. The yield of bailey is 1,150,000 bushels, compared with 1,296,630 last season.
