HASTINGS, Thursday. During the hearing of a motion for a decree absolute which came before the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, in the Supreme Court, his Honor said he had noticed that although the ground for divorce was failure to comply with an order for restitution of conjugal rights, petitioner had filed his present application a day after the three months had expired. What was the reason for this undue haste? he asked. His Honor added that certain aspects of the divorce law required revision. In cases seeking restitution of conjugal rights, the Court asked petitioner if he wanted his wife back or if she wanted her husband back, and this question was answered in the affirmative.
