ISSUE IN NORTH ISLAND (0.C.) TIMARU, this- day. "Deliveries of summer uniforms for soldiers in New Zealand are now coming forward from the maiiufacturers, the first delivery being made on February 2," states the Minister of Defence, Mr. Jones, in a letter to Mr. Clyde Carr, M.P. for Tiniaru. "The first- issues to troops m New Zealand will be made to those m the far north. Because of our commitments for tropical uniforms for troops overseas it is not now possible to state a definite date on which issues to troops in the Soutn will be made."
