U.S. DIVE-BOMBERS
FIRES STARTED AT MUNDA
Rec. 1 p.m. WASHINGTON, Feb. 18
"On Wednesday Dauntless divebombers, escorted by Airacobras and Wildcats, bombed and started fires at Munda, New Georgia," says the United Stales Navy communique No. 286. "During Wednesday night United States aircraft bombed enemy positions in Kolombangara Islands, west of New Georgia.".
