ESCAPEE BEFORE COURT
Clifford Fox, the 1,9-year-old labourer who escaped from the Hamilton lock-up last Saturday night and was recaptured by Detective F. Gordon after a chase in the city early yesterday afternoon, appeared before Mr. F. H. Levien, S.M., in the Police Court this morning on a charge deeming him to be an incorrigible rogue, in that he broke out of a place of legal confinement. There was a further charge of stealing clothing, shoes and a suitcase of a total value of £25 17/, at Auckland on February 17. On the application of DetectiveSergeant Trethewey the accused was remanded to appear at Auckland on February 22.
