DRUNK IN LORRY
DRIVER SENT TO PRISON "I have not the slightest doubt that this man was intoxicated at the time of his arrest," said Mr. J. Morling, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday, when he sentenced Robert Bruce McKinlay, a labourer, 44, to one month's imprisonment for being in a state of intoxication while in charge of a motor lorry in Hobson Street on the night of February 15. Mr. W. Noble appeared for McKinlay, who denied the charge. In addition to the term imposed by the magistrate, McKinlay's driving license was cancelled for twelve months.
