£4000 GIFT FROM N.Z.
APPRECIATION EXPRESSED (P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. Acknowledgement of the receipt of £4000 from New Zealand for the Chinese Red Cross has been received by the Prime Minister, .Mi-.. Fraser, from "-Mi'. Chengting T. Wang, president of the National Red Cross Society of China, who states that the donation has come at a very opportune time. The. money was being used to fulfil; an important urgent need in the extensive programme for medical relief, and there was not the least doubt that the benefit derived would be shared gratefully by many Chinese wounded and civilian people in the days to come.
