In reply to H. J. Bowden, I can only say that I cannot comprehend how any person could read into my previous letter anything savouring of a sneering nature in reteren to the New Zealanders in action. Aiy brother had four sons in Egjpt- Tna alone would prevent me trom doing such a thing. It is to be hoped that the other parts of the British Em pire do not take Mr. speech to the N.Z.E.F. a» shg | on the rest of the fighting force of the Eighth Army, because I woma like A. J. Bowden to realize that- th N.Z.E.F. is not the Eighth Army New Zealanders abroad are doing whatever other, parts of the Briti Empire are doing, and that duty allotted to them. try doing it well.
