RUSH OF INQUIRIES
The district manpower officer was inundated with inquiries this morning concerning the call-up for work of national importance of girls in the 18-19 age group, the announcement from Wellington giving the impression that applications to register should be made at the manpower explained that in the first instance girls should obtain registration form N.S.-141 from post offices, and then, after filling it in, deliver the form or post it to the district manpower office. Forms were not obtainable at the manpower- office.
