POINT CHEVALIER CLUB The Point Chevalier Sailing Club held its annual regatta vesterday, sixty boats competing. The wind was south-west, rather patchy at times, and some of the boats suffered by striking almost calm patches. The beach in front of the clubhouse was crowded with boating enthusiasts, and all races were well contested. Riptide had an easy win in the M and V class and Impudence won the T and Y class and Swish the Z class. Caress followed up her success in the first heat of the championship race for the Jellicoe Memorial trophy in the X class, winning the second heat with Content second and Aileen third. The third heat will be sailed at the Devonport Club's regatta on February 27. Results: — ' , . , r L and N T Class. —Only Komuri (scr) and Venus (sm) competed, Venus finishing 34s behind Komuri to win easily. . t , e __ M and V Class.—Riptide got the gun 15m 55s ahead of Limerick, winning easily, with Mariette second and Mercedes third. X Class.—The finish was: Caress, 4h 20m 395. Content,' 4h 21m 355; Aileen, 4h 24m 4Ds; Stella, 4h 26m 31s; Sonata, 4h 30m 455. Result: Aileen (6m) 1, Caress (scr) 2, Stella (sm) 3. T and Y Class. —Impudence 1, Leoma 2, Oreti 3. Z Class. —cjwish 1. Spitfire 2, Lyla 3. Midgets.—Pal 1, Bluey 2, Gloria 3. Tauranga 7-Foolers. —Rollo 1, Yippee 2. KOHIMARAMA CLUB The Kohimarama Yacht Club held the fourth-race for the Goodwin Cup yesterday, starting off tne Kohi wharf at 2 p.m. Twelve boats started and all finished in a light sou'-west breeze. Tawaki (Mrs. C. H. Rogers) won, with Tamati second and Iris third. MAXUIvAU CLUB The Manukau Yacht Club held its annual championship races on Saturday in a steady sou -west breeze. Shorlene, Mr. R. H. Auger's 14-footer, won the open championship as well as in her class; 13ft championship, Mystery; 16ft, J:cam; Z class. Te Gira; sweepstake race, Aloma. HAMILTON CLUB The Hamilton Yacht Club held its annual regatta on the Lake on Saturday. Boats f™ l ? Auckland, Tauranga and Rotorua competed, witn local craft. J. Ganley's Ariel won the Silver Fern handicap and Kandy Kid the open handicap. Ron. Thomas' Ah-ha, from Mount Maunganui, won the Tauranga class championship. R. Edelsin s D.P.L. won the Idle Along handicap and S. Murray s (Rotorua) Tiki the Tauranga class handicap.
