RAIN DELAYS PLAY
BOWLING AT ROTORUA
KERB GAINS FOUR AVIXS (Special) ROTORUA, this day. Heavy rain flooded the greens and caused cessation of play this morning -when the fourth round of the Rotorua Bowling Club's open pairs tournament was nearly completed. It was hoped to resume the fourth round games at 2 o'clock. J. Kerr (Onehunga) was in an unbeatable position against T. Moncur (Tauranga) when rain stopped play, and he became the first skip to notch four wins. Other teams unbeaten after the third round yesterday were: J. Hedley (Auckland), J. C. Taplin (Transport), C. Adams (West End), W. Bremner (Auckland), J- L. McCuilough (Tauranga), D. Brodie (Mount Albert) and D. C. Street (Whitiora).
