ELECTRIC COOKING
DEMONSTRATION WORK
In a report on the demonstration department, made to the Auckland Electric Power Board at a meeting yesterday afternoon, the general manager, Mr. R. H. Bartley, said it was considered that they might include in the demonstrations some of the Food Value material, using its members to give iecturettes on various phases of its activities, the lecturettes to be followed by practical demonstrations by the board's demonstrator, showing how electric cooking could advantageously fit in. He recommended that the addresses and demonstrations should be continued for a month or two, as a trial. The chairman, Mr. Harbutt, said the move was in the right direction, as the demonstration department was an important factor at the present moment, as many substitutes were being used. The report was adopted on the motion of the chairman.
