MATINEE RESULTS
A Matinee meeting was held at Rlccarton on Saturday when the chief event, the Middle Park Plate, of £310, six furlongs, for two and three-year-olds, was won by Botany (A. E. Didham), who beat King Hercd by a neck, with Foxleap and Junior next. Hurry Home (A. Messervy) won the Irwell Handicap of £200; five furlongs, for two-year-olds, from his two opponents. Rout, by Wild Chase and Paper Lilly, by Paper Money, very easily.
There were 11 starters in the Lyttelton Plate of £200, five furlongs, for maiden two-year-olds, and Arustra (L. J. Ellis) led throughout to win decisively from Langue d'Or. a half brother to Doria with Stavros and St. Nattan next. Arustra is by Bulandshar from Moonraker. and Is owned by Mr. H. D. Greenwood.
