NO FARE INCREASES
All passenger and taxi fares were now subjected to the control of the Minister of Stabilisation,- stated a telegram from the Transport Department. Wellington, which was read at this morning's meeting of the Metropolitan Licensing Authority. The telegram suggested that any cases involving increases in fares should be referred to the Minister 'of Stabilisation before being dealt with by the Auckland Metropolitan Licensing Authority.
