THEFT OF ARMY MONEY

OTHER CASES TO BE HEARD. (P.A.) DUNEDIN, this day. Six of the men previously charged with the theft of various sums ol money, the property' of the Army Department, appeared in the Police Court this morning. Three cases heard by lunch concerned Donald Stewart Mac Lean (£7O), Eric Rowley Jofy (£l3l 19/8) and John Gerard Farmer (£96 5/). All pleaded guilty, and were committed for sentence to the Supreme Court. In evidence it was stated that the men signed fictitious names for moneys on acquittance rolls in connection with medical boarding, or in other cases signed their- own names when not entitled to do so.
