THE REV. D. J. A. SHAW

The death has occurred in Auckland of Rev. David James Alexander Snaw, a well-known Presbyterian minister, who for two years had been in temporary charge of the Epsom church. Born in Hawke's Bay, 60 years ago, Mr. Shaw was interested in farming until he entered the Theological Hall, Dunedin, in 1907. He was ordained in 1910' and served successively at Lumsden, Te Awamutu, Khandallah and Hastings. In 1939 he was appointed to Papakura, but was unable to carry, on for long owing to illhealth. Despite his indifferent health, he undertook temporary work at Epsom. Mr. Shaw is survived by his wife and a daughter. •
