Lieutenant S. F. Catchpole, husband of Mrs. M. M. Catcjhpole (N.Z., W.A.A.F.). has been promoted to the rank of captain. Captain Catchpole, who is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Catchpole, of 30, Cumberland Avenue, Westmere, was educated at the Mount Albert Grammar School and served after war broke out with a coastal battery. He went overseas in December, 1940, as a second lieutenant, and is now with a New Zealand Artillery Regiment in the Middle Cast..
