Though the directors were hopeful of reasonably maintaining output for the current year, the outlook for more distant periods was less favourable, said the chairman, Mr. J. R. Govett, at the annual meeting of Zinc Corporation. Limited, in London. With earnings limited by fixed prices and rising taxation, dividends would tend co become increasingly difficult to maintain. WELLINGTON TRUST RESULT The accounts of the Wellington Trust, Loan and Investment Company, Limited, for the year ended December 31. show a net profit, after makinc full provision for taxation, or £3497 compared with £5075 in 1041. With £4046 brought in there is available £7543. The directors propose a dividend of 3 per cent for the year nSinst 5 ner cent last year, and to transfer £1195 to income tax reserve, leaving £2598 to be carried forward.
