AWARD TO AIRMAN
The only New Zealand airman to take part in the first daylight raids over Berlin on January 29, FlightSergeant Peter J. D. McGeehan, has been, awarded the Distinguished Flying Medal, according to advice received by his mother, Mrs. M. McGeehan, of Great North Road, Avondale. Flight-Sergeant McGeehan was awarded his wings in August of 1941 and reached England in December, being immediately posted to a Mosquito squadron."
