NEW HOSPITAL
SATURDAY OPENING OVER 1200 INVITATIONS
Arrangements have been completed for the official opening ceremony at the new Green Lane Hospital next Saturday afternoon. The ceremony will commence with the singing of the National Anthem, and after an address by the chairman of the board, Mr. Allan J. Moody, the building will be blessed and dedicated by the Anglican Bishop of Auckland, the Right Rev. W. J. Simkin. ~-,-, The Prime Minister, Mr. Fraser, will then speak, and officially open the building. ~,. , , Afternoon tea will be served and visitors will have an opportunity 01 inspecting the institution. The Auckland Hospital Board has sent out over 1200 invitations to representatives of all contributing local governing authorities and representatives of organisations connected with hospital work and leading citizens. , ' ... The fitting out of the new hospital unit is proceeding rapidly, and today the first ward, with all its equipment, was set up.
