STRONG JAP. ATTACK
U.S. BASE IN CHINA BOMBED British Official Wireless Rec. 1.30 p.m. RUGBY, Feb. 9. yesterday afternoon 22 Japanese planes, operating in, three wayes, carried out a strong attack against the town of Kweilin. They dropped explosives and incendiaries and machine-gunned the streets There was some loss of life, but the damage was small. Kweilin- is stated to be an important base for the American air forces stationed in China.
