SPARKLING TRIAL
FLOWER POTTS SHINES The Jack Potts mare Flower Potts attracted attention at Alexandra Park this morning by soundly trouncing Silk Lady, Petite Jewel and Sonja Henie, over a mile and a half on the dirt track, in 3.24. The track was fast, but the little bay pacer did her training in great style, coming over the final half-mile in 1.3. She is engaged in the Royal Handicap, two miles, and the Papakura Handicap, one mile and a quarter, on Saturday, being on 12yds in each event. In December last Flower Potts won the Tamahere Handicap at Te Rapa, and ran , the two miles in 4.35 3-5 from 4.35. ) Another good trial was that by Village Lass and Hillcrest, this pair finishing on terms at the end of a mile and a half, the last half-mile in 1.4. Others to perform useful tasks were Channel Fleet, Franco, Wee Napoleon, Princess Beverley, Dick Redmond, Tumble and Totara Park.
