WORK FOR SOLDIERS
SUNDAY ENTERTAINMENT Another branch of work by the Y.M.C.A. inaugurated in Auckland has been successful. This is a Sunday evening entertainment for troops, which is Held in the concert hall of the Y.M.C.A. building. The chairman of the Sunday Soldiers' Work Committee of the association, Mr. A. H. Schultze, stated this morning that the first entertainment, held on Sunday was most successful. A team of workers went round the city issuing invitations to servicemen who seemed to have nothing to do, and about 80 men accepted. Tea was provided, and the men were allowed to have a chat. Later a sing-song was held. One serviceman stated that it was the best Y.M.C.A. function he had been to.
