FOR SICK SOLDIERS
A motion urging on the Patriotic Council the urgent need of recreation huts for soldier patients at the Auckland and Ellerslie emergency hospitals was passed by the Auckland Hospital Board last night at the instance of Mr. J. V. Macky, who said the Y.M.C.A. had interested itself in the proposal and had obtained permission from the City Council and the Racing Club for the work. He had reason to believe the Patriotic Council was sympathetic. The chairman, Mr. Moody, remarked that the need of the soldier patients for recreation and entertainment was a matter which should be attended to immediately.
