STOPPAGE OF WORK
PUKEMIRO MINE SEVERAL MEETINGS HELD (0.C.) HTjNTLY, this day. No work is being done at the Pukemiro mine to-day. This morning the men held a stop-work meeting until about 11 o'clock, after which they returned home. Stop-work meetings- were held at the Rotowaro, Alison, Glen Afton and McDonald mines this morning, but the men afterwards went into work. The men at the Renown mine did not hold any meetings this morning, going straight into work. No reason for the stoppages could be ascertained.
