5000 DEATHS FROM MALARIA Rec. 1 p.m. NEW YORK, Feb. 8. A message from Bogota, Colombia, states that Colonel Johnson, United States Naval Attache there, flew doctors and medical supplies 600 miles across the Andes to Uribia, where there was a serious outbreak of malaria. , x , Upon arrival, the doctors found that 5000 of the population of 40,000 had already died.
