CHRISTCHURCH GAS PROFIT
Net earnings of £15,230 for th'e year ended December 31, compared with £17,765 in 1941 and £15,860 in 1940 are shown in the accounts of the Christchurch Gas Company. The profit and loss account shows a credit of £20,628. The sum of £10,000 has been transferred from general reserve to provision for taxation. The directors recommend a dividend of 3 per cent, which, with the interim dividend of 2 per cent already paid, makes 5 per cent for the year, unchanged. There will be carried forward £2592. against £989 brought in.
