■ .i AUCKLAND OFFICERS The annual meeting of the Auckland branch, of the New Zealand Institute of Engineers was held in the University School of Engineering on Friday evening, when the following members were elected as the committee for the current year:— Chairman, D. M. Mansergh; hon. secretary and treasurer, Q. T. Murray; hon. auditor, N. P. Angus; city members, J. E. Ciarke, J. A. B. Hellaby, W. S. Home. G. A. K. Simmers: county members. A. H. Benham (Coromandel), W. M. Fraser (Whangarei), A. A. Woodward (Hamilton). Mr. H. P. Toogood, of Wellington, gav* a full description of flood control and reclamation operations in the South Wairarapa district.
