Assets.—Government debt, £11,000,000; other Government securities, £937,900,000; other securities, £1,100,000; fiduciary issue, £950.000,000; silver coin, nil; gold coin and bullion, £200,000. Banking Department Liabilities.—Capital, £14,500,000; rest, £3,400,000; public deposits, £8,100,000; bankers' deposits, £139,500,000; other accounts, £58,100,000. Assets. —Government securities, £158,200,000; advances, etc., £4,400,000; other securities, £21,200,000; notes and coin, £39,800,000. Proportion of reserve to liabilities;, 19.40 per cent (last week, 18.01 per cent); discount rate, 2 per cent, unchanged.
