HIGHLIGHTS OF SIDNEY GAMES St. George's outright victory last Saturday, in the Sydney cricket competitions, coupled witrr»the defeats ot Waverley and Northern District, has given St. George a seven-point lead. Manly surprised Waverley to secure a first innings win, while Petersham bowlers exposed the weakness of the Northern District batting after the dismissal of its three run-getters. W. J. O'Reilly was in great form for St. George against Mosman, who scored 84 and 57. O'Reilly took four for 20 (including the hattrick) and eight for 36. M. Lloyd (Manly) played a great part in the defeat of Waverley. Lloyd captured five wickets for 43 in a total of 107. Other features on Saturday were;—L. Livingston (Glebe) made 100 in 112 minutes against University. H. Chilvers (Northern District) took his season's aggregate to 95 wickets, 15 short of his record last year. Central Cumberland beat raddington five minutes before time. M. Cohen, the Paddington captain, was heckled for bowling pronounced off-theory. D. Ring, a former Victorian Sheffield Shield bowler, made 19 not out, but was not called to the bowling crease.
