LIVING COSTS IN U.S.A.
LABOUR LEADERS PROTEST
Rec. 10 a.m. WASHINGTON, Feb. 5
Mr. William Green, president of the American Federation of Labour, and .Mr. Philip Murray, president of the Congress of Industrial Organisations, t called on President Roosevelt to-day and protested against the cost of living rising while wages were stationary.
They urged that universal price ceilings should be imposed on all civilian goods and a universal and equitable rationing of essential commodities.
