BRILLIANT TRIALS LOU ROSA-FOXOLA SHINE (P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. Beneficial rain rell at Trentham on Tuesday night, and the track was in great order this morning for final gallops, which were outside of the course proper., An impressive gallop went to the credit of the Cup candidates Lou Rosa and Foxola over a mile. The pair raced together throughout and, kept up to it m the run home, Lou Rosa had a shade advantage at the post. They ran their first half-mile in 50s and completed the full journey in 1.40. Lou Rosa was anxious to go on with it. Yogi strode away from the mile and aquarter post, and after picking up Pastmaster at the mile peg, the pair ran the next half-mile in 525. the mile in 1.46. Yogi did his work well. Happy Ending had a slight advantage over Gladynev, with High Class threequarters of a length back at the end of a mile In 1.44 2-5. The Cup top weight, Royal Lancer, was restricted to an easy seven furlongs in ! company with. Rink, while Indian Princess and Arctic Dawn were on terms at the end of a mile in 1.43 2-5, the first half Straight Left and Moderate took 1.46 for a mile, the first half in 525, and Duncannon was a neck in front of Bright Gesture at the end of six in 1.20 1-5, after covering the first two in 29 2-ss. Royal Merit beat Lowry Bay comfortably over six furlongs in 1.162—a good effort. Bright Fox and Powys ran four in 51s. The former was a shade in front, while Olga's Pal shaded Subadar, with Look Again at a short interval, in one scamper.
