NETHERLANDS PILOTS

FIRST TRAINED IN U.S.A.

After having completed their training at the Netherlands Flying School at Port Jackson, Mississippi, and at southern United States air bases, the first contingent of Netherlands and Indonesian fliers will be leaving the United States soon for service overseas, says the Netherlands Press Agency. Most of these young pilots received their initial training at two important air training centres in Java, but were evacuated to the United States, via Australia, when the Indies were occupied by the Japanese. The fliers, who have now completed their training, will take an active part in the reconquest of their country.
