HANDICAP TOURNEY

GOOD PLAY IN DOUBLES

Except for the final of the mixed doubles in A section, the Auckland Tennis Association's Christmas handicap tournament was completed to-day. The final of the men's doubles was played this morning when McDonnell and Smith had a decisive win over Roberts and Wallace. McDonnell played an excellent game, a semi-final of the men's singles in the B section was also played this morning, and the final in this event, as well as the final of the men's doubles in the same section, was being played this afternoon The final in the mixed doubles will be played at the Stanley Street Courts on Saturday afternoon. Sergeant Levin, of the United States Forces, will partner Mrs. Shaw against J. Leng and Miss McCracken. Results are as follows:— A SECTION MEN'S SINGLES Semi-final.—W. Huckstep beat P.
