SCOUTS TO ASSIST
VEGETABLE GROWING
Over 50 boy scouts in the Auckland district will gather at the Auckland Railway Station on Monday morning, preparatory to leaving for Pukekohe, where they will be available to assist commercial growers in the growing of vegetables under army contract. The boys will go into camp at Bledisloe Park, Pukekohe, under their own leaders.
From the camp, which is under the auspices of the Primary Production Council and the National Service Department, the boys will go to various jobs during the day and return in the evening.
