CHRISTMAS LEAVE
ARMY ARRANGEMENTS
TRAVEL NOT RESTRICTED
The maximum number of soldiers possible will be able to go to their homes for Christmas and New Year without reducing security, under army arrangements, and they will be exempt from the railway travel restrictions. The usual seven days' leave, granted every two months, will be arranged in the holiday period so that men will get leave for a week either at Christmas or the New Year. However, certain garrisons on vital points cannot expect to receive the same concentration of leave arrangements, although their furlough of seven days will be allowed over a longer period. Those remaining in camp will probably receive a certain amount of leave on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
