The Klniu hurdle race was won narrowly by Hlßlow at double llgures from l he favourite, Kanul To Pal, at the conclusion ol the Trentham races on Monday says the Dominion. Both led earlv, but dropped In behind later. Siglow was with Student Prince and Cutslnier at the last fence, with Kanul Te Pal handy, and in the run home Sigiow was able to use his weight advantage to hold off the favourite. with I'utsinier a good third Student Prince weakened, and lust headed Acrobat for fourth. Bright Fox Fails The Ashburton winner, Tutere, hit the front early in the running of the Trial Stakes, and was always going too well for his opponents. Dainask, always out in front with the winner, weakened a little, hut was able to last long enough to beat, the fast-finishing Stourbridge, which was handy early but later went back a few piaces. Tavern Light was a moderate fourth. The favourite. Bright Fox. was never a possibility. Stairway and Foxhaven ran away from the fii/M at the finish of the hack distance event., Stairway staying the better. Stairway was well placed all the way, as was Come True, which took the lead at the false rail but could not see out the full journey. Foxhaven was toward the rear early. Sporting Sister, Alienate and Madame Kachel, prominent In all the running, did best of the others. Kinsman was always well back. Change of Luck Gayest Son, which had been very unlucky on the first day, scored a decisive win In the Pearce Handicap. Always handy about fourth, he went after the pacemaker, l>jute March, from the false rail, and soon had him in trouble. Deolall put up a good performance to get third. She dwelt at the start and lost ground, but had run up handy Into third in behind Route March and Don't Forget before they left the back stretch. Her effort was made too early, and she was stopping at the finish. Nothing else had any chance, and Battledress laboured a long way iri ihe rear throughout. .-turkluiider's Win The northern horse Neenah scored an all-theway and very easy win in the open .-even. Jumping away smartly from No. ], he was never headed nor ever looked likely to be. The Champ was handy throughout, but went under for second against Moutca Bond, which lost a good position rounding the turn. Rink was responsible for an outstanding performance In winning the last race. Away back in the rear early, he was still second last at the half, but he unwound a wonderfid run in the straight to win going away from Daljarrock, which had headed the field coming into the straight. Aletheu put hi a strong run for tnird.
