WIN" THE WAR FIRST
Political positions are of more value than the protection of the public. Some of our politicians' war cry is—a general election. It would be more fitting to get on with our policy of war preparation. Our Prime Minister is carrying a titanic load. He should have the continued support from all classes, irrespective of their political views. Obstacles must be removed as they may easily lead to disastrous consequences. After three years of death and destruction most people are ready to surrender individual freedom and obey the commands of the Government. The people are actualiy the Government. They have the power to make and break governments, but in view of the unsatisfactory position in the in the Pacific, it is imperative that the people themselves should do all in their power to co-operate for the common good of New Zealand and fight to destroy all enemies within and without. WIN THE WAR FIRST.
