1 lie question of the coverage of property situated in the Pacific Islands under the War Damage Act lias recently been the subject of correspondence between the Auckland Chamber of Commerce and the Associated Chambers of Commerce. At tins morning's meeting of the council of the chamber a letter was received from the acting-secretary of Associated Chambers stating: 'With regard to war damage insurance on property situated in the Pacific Islands, my executive is of the opinion that this is a matter of uigency in the present circumstances and we trust that your consideration Oi the proposal lias resulted in early action being taken by the Government to have the owners of property situated in those territories covered under the \\ ar Damage Act."
