ACCIDENTAL DEATH
VERDICT AT INQUEST
A verdict of death from injuries received when she was accident allv knocked down by an army truck, was returned by the coroner. Mr. F. K. Hunt, to-day, when he concluded the inquest touching the death of Mrs. Mabel Stevens, aged 73, who lived with her husband, Mr. Sidnov Stevens, St. George Street, Papatoetoe.
The evidence showed that Mrs. Stevens was walking along the drive leading from Symonds Street to the Auckland University about 1.10 p.m. on August 25 and was struck by an army truck which was backing at the time. Her death occurred in the ambulance while she was being conveyed to the hospital.
